Cool! I got an IR950 lens for x-mas, I tried to test it out but my D60 wont freakin take a shot when it's on :(

950s are awesome im thinking of getting one my self to replace my R72

try turning the lens and the camera to manual ... try a 8 second exposure at F3.5 ISO 250 outside in a non-shadowed area during the day .... remove the filter and manually focus it than put the filter back on and take the shot

it will make everything brighter (snow reflects more) but it should still work

oh i forgot to add turn your white balance to manual and 2500-3000 (what ever looks better but if you take it in .nef you can always change it in post)

im using the 67mm R72 filter on this one it was arround $60
the D90 is great at filtering out IR so its really only possible on days with direct sunlight and mid summer (hotter the sun is the better it turns out) like this one here was taken in janurary and the ground gives a reddish hue (inverted to a purple here)
